am i not allowed to be myself or be happy?

Why do i feel i am not allowed to be myself around others socially or in public, i feel others are allowed to be happy and are happy and i am not, everyone is so confident but i just never feel happy or satisfied, i feel like giving up life everyday, what is wrong with me, i want to be happy and i want others to accept me for being myself, i would risk it but others might find me odd or strange and thats what i am afraid of aswell as rejection. Anyone recommend anything? You would think i would be good socially or with others cos i am going to set up my own business and work with clients on a regular basis doing complementary therapies such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology etc and want to help others even help them manage stress yet i am not content with myself, what can i do? People might think i am odd or not come to me for massage etc cos i am odd , i also feel invisible and unnoticed, i seem to be the only male doing massage and also feel like the only one with my problems!!
