Herbs And Their Use For Treatment

Daisy is used for the treatment of Hypertension, inflammations, fever, bad vision and also liver infections.

Extract of the daisy is used on the skin to heal bruises and wounds. If you have a toothache and chew some flowers and leave them on the problematic tooth it will help soothe your pain.

How to use the daisy:

Decoction: Boil for 5 minutes the flowers of two daisies in a cup of water . Then drain the flowers and add some honey to sweeten it and drink.

Infusion: One tablespoon of daisy flowers in a cup of boiling water and leave it for half an hour. Drink only one cup a day.

Please note Daisy is not recommended for those who are weak or suffer from diarrhea.

Those who have high blood pressure can try out the daisy decoction or infusion. However they must also note that the minerals calcium, magnesium and potassium are essential to keep blood pressure under control. Secondly Coenzyme Q10 improves heart function. Thirdly one can add essential fatty acids found in black currant seed oil, flaxseed oil and olive oil- which are important for circulation and for lowering blood pressure

Very important are also Vitamin C with bioflavonoids which improve adrenal function and reduce blood clotting.

If you manage to find Suma tea- drink 3 cups daily while you should avoid ephedra ( ma huang) and licorice- as these herbs elevate blood pressure.

Eucalyptus Globulus is used for the treatment of Asthma, arthritis, coughs, diarrhea, cystitis and also fever. It reduces swelling by helping to increase blood flow.

It is very good for colds and other respiratory disorders like asthma. Just inhaling vapour from a few drops of the oil will help to break up mucus.

There are also lozenges and cough drops. A cold extract of the leaves makes a helpful aid in indigestion and fever.

Eucalyptus oil can be put in a container over a burning candle or a fireplace to leave vapor in the room helping in good respiration. The Eucalyptus vapor kills the bacteria of staphylococcus in the air and protects the spread of infections.

Preparation (for breathing)

Put 4 drops of Eucalyptus oil in a bowl of hot water. Add one drop of Thyme and one drop of Green Tea and inhale the steam.
