Does Your Car Stink? - Go Green And Get Out The Smell

Vinegar is one of the best cleaners out there. It is natural, and environmentally friendly, and with just a few simple tricks and tips, you can be cleaning everything in your house and going green at the same time!

Reducing your "carbon footprint" is a catch phrase you hear all the time, in the newspapers, on TV when the environment is the topic, and on bill boards. But many people think they have to make huge changes to do this. But in reality, they don't.

If everyone just made a few simple changes to their routines, a few tweaks here and there, then it will make a difference.

How many of us have that cabinet full of half used toxic cleaners? Cleaners that promise to clean everything. Or how many of us, have "targeted cleaners" such as tile cleaners, or window cleaners? This just created a huge bucket of cleaners you need to drag around the house with you when you set out to clean. That would put me off right there.

But these cleaners are not only used in the house, but they migrate to the garage, and we use them in our cars as well.

Well, I am hear to tell you about a great way to clean a few things in your car, without harsh chemicals, and without all that irritation to the nose and eyes, and who knows what is happening to your skin!

Try these ideas first.. what can you lose?

Unpleasant odors in your car. Everything from leftover snacks to vomit. Have you ever cleaned them up, sprayed cleaners, only to get in your car the next day and that "aroma" is still there?

Well tonight try this: Place a bowl of plain white vinegar (you can get this in large containers for cheap) on the floor of your car. Close the windows and leave it overnight. But remember to remove it the next morning.. or you may be wearing vinegar. But you will notice instantly the smell is gone. Vinegar is good at neutralizing odors. As long as you have removed the offending object as much as possible, then vinegar is a great car freshener.

Is you back window full of stickers from the kids? Or was there stickers on your windshield when you bought the car? Try this:

Wet the top and sides of the sticker with pure undiluted white distilled vinegar, and wait about 20 minutes for the vinegar to soak in. Then use an expired credit card and scrape away the sticker. Then use full strength vinegar to remove the glue residue left behind.

Ice on the windshield Did you know you could prevent much of that ice from building up on your windshield? Mix 3 pars white vinegar and one part water and coat the entire windshield and other windows too, with this solution, and leave it on. This will help prevent the ice from sticking.

There are many great uses for vinegar, and our grandparents used them all the time, but as time has gone on, and life got busy, people started using "ready made" cleaners, and we came away from the "homemade" anything. But by going green, we are going full circle again.

Pure, undiluted idiocy!
